A sport management degree involves the same amount of work and study as any other degree. However, if you truly love sports, it won’t feel like study. Basic courses such as math, science, history, etc. have to be taken even for a two year degree.
However, the second half of studies in about any undergraduate degree involves the specialization courses. For a sport management degree, these courses can include elements of sports, sport ethics, communications in sports, budget, finance, marketing, and many other sports related areas.
If truly devoted to the sport, why not join the college or high school team while earning a sport management degree? If you can’t make the team, a support position is also a wise choice. Anything from the clichéd towel manager to assistant coach will look impressive on a resume in addition to your sport management degree.
